Myofascial Release

Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body; the brain, spine and nerves, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, muscles and organs. Adhesions form in the fascia caused by inflammation resulting from falls, diet, injury, surgery, chronic tension or poor posture. Fascia can adhere one structure to another causing reduced mobility and function. Tense fascia compresses muscles and/or entraps nerve fibres causing referred pain, in this case deep tissue massage treatments become painful and ineffective.

The gentle nature of this work eases anxiety and promotes deep relaxation, pain relief and recovery.
