Myofascial Release
If you find your massage treatments only last a little while and the same cycle keeps repeating or if you have referred pain, try myofascial release.
Fascia is loose woven connective tissue which surrounds and supports every structure in the body, particularly nerves, blood vessels, muscles and organs. Adhesions form in the fascia from inflammation resulting from falls, diet, injury, surgery, chronic tension or poor posture. Fascia can adhere one structure to another causing reduced mobility and function. Tense fascia compresses muscles and/or entraps nerve fibres causing referred pain, in this case deep tissue massage treatments become painful and ineffective.
The gentle nature of this work eases anxiety and promotes deep relaxation, pain relief and recovery.
