Lorita Whitehouse

With over 25 years of experience and dedication to her practice, Lorita has been able to help countless people optimize and maintain their health. She continually strives to learn and grow so that she can give the best possible care to meet her clients’ individual needs. Lorita began her massage training at Mount Royal University and has since trained with the Upledger Institute and the Milne Institute for Craniosacral Therapy, John Barnes for Myofascial Release and is currently studying Osteopathic Visceral Manipulation with the Barral Institute.

Derek Burgess

RMT

A 2023 graduate of Mount Royal University’s massage therapy diploma program, Derek is focused on delivering therapeutic and sports massage. Sport and athletics have always been a part of Derek’s life, from competitive track running in high school and university, to more recent pursuits such as road cycling, recreational hockey and coaching soccer. Derek has developed respect for the body and understands the benefits that massage can bring to sports and wellness. It’s why he decided to transition from Information Technology to a new career path focused on helping clients achieve their wellness goals. 

“Massage and other forms of bodywork have been invaluable tools in my own recovery from several serious injuries over the years. I practice bodywork because I know it is a viable treatment option for a multitude of musculoskeletal issues. I continue to receive regular care in order to maintain my ability to ski, hike, do yoga and live well. I know and understand the importance of functional fitness and building strength as we age. I am committed to regular training and I encourage my clients to do the same. 

I studied massage therapy at Mount Royal University. I am registered with the National Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). I have a degree in Communication Studies from the University of Calgary and I am committed to life long learning.”
